September Super Hearts Treasury

SH 16-09

We had a bit more competition for the available slots this month. As a result I was able to get a fresh crew with only a few repeats. Unluckily, some of the best supporters of the August Super Hearts Treasury were not members of the A Promotion Commotion team, and so didn’t qualify for the September Super Hearts Treasury.

As always, those who showed the most support for last month’s treasury got the top slots in this month’s treasury. M. Brent Payne is there as this month’s Featured Shop. It was great to see Sharon Lee again, even if only for one comment.

I hope everyone gets a chance to make some sales!

Win a Dragon’s Tail

DragonTail

The Prize: Winner’s choice of a costume dragon tail or a mystery necklace of equivalent value.

The dragon tail is 30 inches long and more suitable to an adult than a child. It’s as soft as a stuffed animal. The 86% cotton, 13% polyester blend fabric is died a mottled green.

I offer a necklace in it’s place because a friend of mine says a dragon tail is about as useful as an origami crane with a two foot wing span. Something wrong with an enormous crane? I don’t get it but I’ll take her word for it. 😉

To enter the contest: Leave a comment on this post that answers the question, “Which item in the August Super Hearts Treasury do you like best?” You can do this once a day. Items change, so be sure to check the treasury each time. The first thing I’ll do when the contest closes is check that the winner answered this question, and not with an item that was already removed.

I’m using the form below to keep track of entries for me, so be sure to click on it.

I’ve had some problems with the Pinterest pin options through Giveaway Tools. All the entries made through it are showing up in the list from which Giveaway Tools draws the winner, but sometimes people get an error message and the pin doesn’t always show up. If you at least try, you will still get the credit. I’ve tried something different this time. Please let me know how it works.

The fine print:
This contest is open to anyone in the world. No purchase necessary. Odds of winning are based on number of entries. The winner will be contacted by email and announced on this post. Winner gets two days to respond before we have Giveaway Tools pick someone else. The number of eligible entries received determines the odds of winning. Must be at least 13 years old to enter. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Winners outside of the USA may be required to retrieve the prize from their local postal authority as customs will sometimes cause significant delays or even refuse delivery. Once the prize is in the mail, we don’t accept responsibility for delivery. We use the US Postal Service.

Average Retail Value: $34 plus shipping, which we cover.

By Alinies

Adorable!

Alinias Lion
That’s one word for the stuffed toy patterns available at By Alinies. Cute and cuddly also come to mind.

Alinies has over thirty patterns to choose from. All of them have a distinctive quality that is uniquely Alinies. Most of them are animals like this lion. (Click on the pictures to see more). She also carries characters named Pat and Mat, a variety of soft bugs, and even how to make heart shaped bunting.

These crochet patterns come as downloadable instructions with tutorial in both Dutch and English. Buy now, and begin your project as soon as you can unearth your supply of yarn.

Alinies CowAlinies Flamingo

Alinies Giraffe

Not the handy craft type? She has some of the toys already made. If you don’t see what you want you can put in a request.

She designs her own patterns. It’s worth stopping back every few months to see what she has in the works. She does regular updates. You can also find her on her blog or on Facebook. Her blog even has a free pattern for a crochet puppy plushy. You can try a pattern out to see if you like they way she writes them.

August Super Hearts Treasury

SH 16-08

Again, it was easy to get into the Super Hearts Treasury this month, but I didn’t have to repeat anyone from last month. I still hope to provide a chance to be in it to as many people as possible.

Horsdoovers is a special case. She got in through her strong support of last month’s Featured Shop. It was a coin-flip tie for who would be the Featured Shop for August, and she lost the toss. As thanks for the work she has done in all the Shop of the Month threads on the A Promotion Commotion team I added her to the treasury.

Alinies made it in as the Shop of the Month for August.

Otherwise everyone is, of course, placed in the treasury based on the amount of support they gave the July Super Hearts Treasury.

I’d like to offer a special thanks to Belladona’s Joy for offering very strong support to the August treasury right from the start.

July Super Hearts Treasury

SH 16-07

This month nearly every A Promotion Commotion team member who was not in the June treasury made it into the July treasury. This includes team leader Graciela, who was very supportive of the treasury.

She recommended Sandy, who was made a leader a month ago. Normally I wouldn’t include leaders in a regular treasury, but they qualified. To round it off, I included this month’s Shop of the Month, Stefania De Angelis from StefaniaDA2015

The first six shops were placed by how supportive they were to the June treasury, except for the shop of the month, which I put at the top because I felt it only right, though I’m not even sure she’s heard of the Super Hearts Treasury.

After that they were put in alphabetical order.

If you are a member of the APCteam, please go comment on the treasury. It will make my life easier at the end of the month when I make the August treasury.

StefaniaDA2015

Stefania De Angelis of StefaniaDA2015 has loved crochet since her family taught her how. Now she makes a lifetime of skill available to her buyers.

StD - booties She specializes in baby booties with the addition of the occasional hat or scarf in any size. Looking for a particular color combination? She makes items to order quickly. Custom booties can arrive in as little as a week.

June Super Hearts Treasury

SH 16-06

I asked Graciela to do the May Super Hearts Treasury since I was travelling. I think she did a pretty good job. I’ll be doing the next several months myself.

The June Super Hearts Treasury came together fairly quickly, but I was running late and it took a while to get approval on it because the captain was very busy.

All of those in the top row and one from the next row down left two comments on the treasury. The rest are totally random and might drift around in the treasury as the month goes on.

Turtles and Peace

TnP Boat

Alisa Clarke from Turtles and Peace loves to take pictures. You can see it clearly in the items in her shop. She sells digital downloads, blank greeting cards, 8×10 prints, and canvases of her photography.

Everything shows her artistic flair. Most of her images center on the natural ranging from flowers so close you can see every petal to distant craggy mountain tops.

TnP squerrel

Some of the most impressive pictures feature animals. Clear, crisp, and richly colored, they are good enough for publication. When was the last time a squirrel held still long enough for you to get a good shot?

TnP Iguana

Some of the pictures were most likely taken in her native Canada. Others were taken in places like Mexico, England, and the Caribbean. They bring a sense of the exotic.

Where ever she goes, she brings along her trusty Nikon. Though some of these might be vacation photos, none of them are your average snapshot.

TnP Abstract

Not content with simply wonderful wildlife photography, she also offers black and white photography, pictures of boats and buildings, and some truly wild experimental photography. You might also find her drawings, hand-painted wine glasses, and horse treats.

Drop by Turtles and Peace today to see more.
