How the February Super Hearts Treasury Was Made

Up until now the treasuries have been coming out about two weeks into the month.  I skipped January in the hopes of rectifying this and gave myself a February 1st due date.  From the middle of December until the end of January I worked hard keeping an eye out for people playing the Post 1 Item, Favor the 50 Above thread who wanted to be included in the next treasury.  By January 30th I had three who qualified.

I thought it would still be all right.  I hadn’t checked in on the Treasured Treasuries thread in a while.  I had high hopes.  That one did much better, netting me six more.  Still, not enough.

I asked APC Team’s captain, Sandra, if she wanted to elect anyone.  No reply.  I thought about bugging our new leader, but there wasn’t enough time and I haven’t even introduced myself yet.

I ran the December Super Hearts Treasury through Treasured Treasuries again and begged the people doing the Make 1 Be In 16 treasury game to run their treasuries through it, and netted a couple more.  Still no enough.

Can we say ‘panic’ yet?  February 1st came and went and still I didn’t have enough participants.

I had a similar problem in December, though not as pronounced.  To solve it, I filled the one last slot by bending the arm of a friend.  This time I expanded on that precedent.

I have known for some time now that a lot of the best participants in the APC Team never bother to comment on the Super Hearts Treasury, and thereby are not eligible.  It has always pained me to see such people go unrewarded.

So I went hunting.  I started from one of my own posts in the Post 1 Item, Favor the 50 Above thread and I tested every single participant who came after me.  Those who passed the test I sent a convo asking them to comment on the December treasury.  Those who commented went into the February treasury.  Within a day I had the treasury filled.

I think that clearly means that the Super Hearts Treasury is one of the best kept secret benefits of the APC Team.

Now, on to the order.  I’d like to assure Bret that he is only on the bottom row because he was also in the December treasury.  Crystal is in the top row despite having appeared in previous Super Hearts treasuries because she made the most effort to support the December treasury of anyone who was not actually in it.

Those I hunted down went to the bottom of the list except for a couple of people who went beyond the call of duty by favoring MORE than the requisite 50.  I want to encourage people to comment on the treasury without my prodding, but had to favor their enthusiasm.

One person on the bottom row had actually overlooked a couple of the treasuries in the Treasured Treasury thread that she was supposed to support, but rectified the oversight before I put her in the treasury.  She would not have been given the chance had she not been a good participant in the Post 1 Item, Favor the 50 Above thread.  See, I’m not that hard nosed.

The diversity of shops made it a little challenging to give the treasury some aesthetic appeal, but I think I did a good enough job.  If you haven’t seen it yet, please go visit the treasury now.

If you feel you should have been included, let me know!  I’m not infallible.  It is particularly hard to keep up with the Post 1 Item, Favor the 50 Above thread.  If I agree that you should have been in the February treasury I will automatically include you in the March treasury.
